My recent stay at Old Kipper Cottage was just as delightful as I remembered from my childhood. the location is perfect, with a charming little beach just a couple of minutes away. All the shops and attractions are conveniently close by, including a larger beach. the cottage itself is cozy and welcoming, with a spacious lounge and three comfortable sofas. the kitchen is well-equipped and the bedrooms are nicely arranged with comfortable beds. the soundproofing between rooms and from downstairs is excellent. I appreciated the key safe system and the clear communication regarding the code. The cottage was impeccably clean, warm, and provided a lovely setting for a memorable family holiday. Cons: Nothing could have been better! 😊.

the attic with on-site was perfect for my sister, who loved it. the owners have done an amazing job with the house, and it had plenty of room for our family. the location of the house, between Fortunes fish smokery and the 199 steps leading to the Abbey, was superb. The beds were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Cons: Not obvious to find 👎.

We had a great value for our money at this charming cottage. The room was cozy and comfortable with spacious lounge and comfy sofas. The location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from the beach and close to all the shops and sights. The staff treated us well and made us feel at home.

Breakfast delights could have been better with a wider selection.

The location of the property was fantastic, with easy access to all the attractions and amenities of the area. We loved being able to explore the nearby beach and enjoy the quaint streets and shops. Additionally, the beds were comfortable and provided a good night's sleep.

Parking was a challenge, as the closest available parking was further away than expected. The shower had very low pressure and the temperature fluctuated, making it difficult to get a satisfying shower.

loved our stay in whitby and the lovely tidy cottage with plenty of space. easy to find, and the rooms were lovely. the living room/dining area was generous in size, perfect for entertaining guests.

Wall on the road side had a feeling of coming away from the building.

Located on a charming cobbled street with a fish smokery and steps leading to the Abbey, this quirky and old-fashioned cottage offers good basic accommodation for families. the three floors provide plenty of space, and the beds are described as very comfortable. Guests have praised the cottage's convenient location, as well as its tidy rooms and generous living room/dining area. the cottage is also close to a small beach and various shops.

Some maintenance issues were mentioned, such as broken doors, malfunctioning electric sockets, and a dirty oven.

I recently stayed at a charming cottage near a beautiful beach. The location was perfect, with shops and attractions all within close proximity. It brought back fond childhood memories of cobbled streets and quaint sweet shops. Despite a few minor issues, my overall experience was pleasant and I would recommend it to others.

Our family had a lovely stay at Old Kipper Cottage for a few days. The location was perfect, with a charming little beach just a short walk away and all the shops and attractions close by. The cottage itself was clean, comfy, and warm, providing plenty of space for the six of us. We loved the quaint cobbled streets, cute shops, and nostalgic atmosphere that reminded us of our childhood. The key collection process was convenient, with a key safe and a key left in the shed. it was a great place for a family holiday.

    Strongly recommend this hotel.

Great location near the beach and city center. Beds were comfy and kitchen facilities were good.

The property needs some maintenance and cleaning. The stairs to the top floor were steep and dangerous.
